truth, no consequences – your secret song

Posted on Nov 28, 2008 by Franz Patzig

I was just discussing with a friend about everyones love of embarrassing, corny songs, songs you only listen to secretly and when you are alone at home with headphones under your blanket.

There can be a million reasons why you like songs like Rollercoaster from Ronan Keating (blush) or Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing (not blushing at all here, thank god). It is not neccesarily bad taste, it is about life, little stories, a first kiss or something else (:

We want you to share your secrets with us and to confess.

Leave a comment:

  • with a link to a youtube video of that song that should be really horrible (you find the link (called URL there) in the grey box right hand of the video
  • some words why you like it

There is only one requirement: be honest! Obvious fakes will be deleted.

Also there is no jury or price planned whatsoever – but you never know. We, Peter and I, want to see how it goes and then decide.

Please spread the news and have fun!

    You Sexy Motherfucker – Prince

Ich muss den Refrain immer mitkreischen, deshalb immer in der privaten Stube…

ok, I’ll put that in english:

    You Sexy Motherfucker – Prince

is my most painful song. I always have to sing it out loud, once screaming through the bus. Not good.

here is a nice jazz impression instead of the not available original (where is the closed source music, when you need it?):

Kind of “restringierter Sprachcode” meets chatterbox
    but groovy for dancing.

    Sugar Walls by Sheena Easton.
I really like this song and it’s one song I’ll sing ONLY in the house.

Solid (as a rock) by Ashford & Simpson.

Got back to this song on a great karaoke afternoon with friends a few years ago and sung “SOLID” in a sizzling duet with a “very special” guy. No names, of course ;)

“The thrill is still HOT HOT HOT HOT!”

Songs? Hmm, what about “The Alan Parsens Project”? It is music from another time period but it is till very awesome music. Hearing “The Turn Of A Friendly Card” let me always think on first love :)) ..

Once upon a time there was a great period of time with party music at its best. An example: The SOS Band! Let the music flow ..
