Happyness is in the Mornings

Posted on Dez 23, 2011 by Franz Patzig

Charis Tsevis is a visual design wizard from Athens, Greece. It must have been in 2006 when I first stumbled over his works which he had published on Flickr. From that time we are in contact very randomly via Twitter, Facebook or Flickr. I had just made my first experiences with sharing some of my photos under Creative Commons licenses which drew attention from a company like American Express, or a small publishing house, which have licensed photos of mine and which allowed me to buy some more professional photo equipment.

When I found Charis’ great artwork (which was “all rights reserved” at this time) I encouraged him, to also share his works under Creative Commons licenses which he did short after. Now years later, on 19th of December 2011, he has sent me a Tweet ( in fact two), saying that Creative Commons made a good part of his speech at TEDx Athens and that he will send me the link when the video is online.

It is a truly beautiful talk about love, passion, beauty, ships, professional success through sharing and much more. Here is the video:

Thanks, Charis :)
